Tinta Caiada Rosé.
Heritage with Elegance.

Tinta Caiada is one of Alentejo’s rare historic grape varieties. Since its planting at Herdade da Cardeira in 2002, we have devoted ourselves to exploring and revealing its singular character. In this rosé expression, fermentation in seasoned oak barrels brings out its remarkable delicacy and elegance. Notes of red berries and pink pepper add depth and sophistication, while a vibrant freshness lingers through to a long, graceful and distinctive finish.

    Fruity with Potential.

The special conditions of Herdade da Cardeira seem to suit just fine for the Tinta Caiada grapes, usually considered to be less classy than others. They have developed such a complex aroma that initially, specialists happen to misidentify them as Alfrocheiro grapes. These long hugely underestimated grapes provide us with a dark red colour for full-bodied wines and a bouquet of ripe fruits, herbs and spices.
